Our Company

Helping Retailers Make Sense of Their Numbers

Ferromir was founded in Kuala Lumpur with a straightforward purpose: to help retail teams understand their own pricing data without needing a specialist in-house.

Our Story

Where Ferromir Came From

Ferromir started from a practical observation: many retail businesses in Malaysia hold more useful pricing information than they realise — sitting in POS exports, supplier sheets, and monthly sales files that nobody has the time or tools to read properly.

The founding team had spent years working alongside retail operators across the Klang Valley and saw the same pattern repeatedly. Pricing decisions were being made on instinct or habit, not because the data was missing, but because no one had structured it clearly enough to act on.

We built Ferromir to close that gap. Not through complex software platforms or opaque algorithms, but through structured, human-readable analysis that a retail team can follow, question, and own. Our services are designed to be temporary where possible — the goal is always to leave your team more capable, not more dependent.

We are based at Level 14, Menara Prestige in Kuala Lumpur and work with retailers across Malaysia in English. Our team brings backgrounds in retail operations, data analysis, and business consulting — with a shared preference for plain language over technical jargon.

Our Mission

To make pricing information readable and useful for retail teams — without adding complexity, dependency, or unnecessary cost.

Our Approach

We work from your existing data. We prepare structured comparisons and written summaries. We walk through findings with your team. Decisions stay with you.

Our Commitment

Plain communication. Realistic scope. No overselling. If a simpler engagement will serve you better, we'll say so at the start rather than after the invoice.

Standards We Follow

How We Keep Our Work Reliable

Data Handling Protocol

Client data is used exclusively within the agreed scope. We do not retain, share, or repurpose it. Data handling terms are available in writing before any engagement begins.

Written Deliverables Standard

Every engagement produces a written output — a summary, guide, or comparison document — formatted for non-specialist readers on the client's team.

Defined Scope Before Work

We confirm the scope, deliverables, and timeline in writing before any work starts. We do not expand scope without a separate agreement.

Internal Review Process

All client-facing outputs go through an internal review before delivery. A second analyst checks figures, logic, and readability before anything is shared.

Plain Language Commitment

We do not use technical jargon in client documents or walkthroughs without first explaining it in plain terms. Summaries are written for retail operations staff, not data analysts.

Feedback-Led Revisions

Each engagement includes a structured feedback round. If a summary or dashboard section is unclear, we revise it within the agreed scope at no additional charge.

About Our Work

Pricing Clarity for Malaysian Retail

Retail pricing in Malaysia operates within a range of practical pressures — supplier cost changes, seasonal demand shifts, multi-location consistency, and the challenge of reading figures across product categories that behave differently. Ferromir focuses specifically on these retail contexts, which shapes both how we structure our analysis and how we communicate it.

Our three services are built around a progression: starting with a clear review of a sample, moving to an organised view of ongoing figures, and eventually supporting a team's internal capacity to run that review cycle on its own. We see our role as finite by design — useful while a team is building its own familiarity with its data, not as a long-term dependency.

We work in English and draw on knowledge of the Malaysian retail market, including the types of POS and inventory systems common among mid-sized retailers in Kuala Lumpur and surrounding states. Our office on Jalan Pinang in the city centre is available for in-person meetings for clients who prefer to work that way.

Whether a team is working with a single product category or managing a broader range across locations, the starting point is the same: making existing figures readable before drawing any conclusions from them. That is what Ferromir is here to do.
